About the event

The summer season holds a special significance in Yin QiGong practice. In Chinese philosophy, summer is associated with the element of Fire, which represents warmth, expansion, and energy. During this time, nature is in full bloom, and the days are longer, inviting us to embrace the abundance and vitality surrounding us.

In Yin QiGong, the practice incorporates the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and follows the flow of energy throughout the seasons. Summer is considered the peak of Yang energy, representing activity and movement. Yin QiGong allows us to find balance by focusing on the more receptive, cooling, and calming aspects of the practice to harmonize with the energetic qualities of summer.

The intention of Yin QiGong during the summer is to nourish the body and mind, release excess heat and tension, and cultivate inner calmness and balance. The gentle, flowing movements and stretching sequences help open energy meridians, promoting the smooth flow of Qi (life force energy) throughout the body. The practice also focuses on deep diaphragmatic breathing, which helps calm the mind and enhance relaxation.

By engaging in Yin QiGong during the summer season, we can tap into the transformative qualities of this ancient practice, harnessing the abundant energy of summer to revitalize our bodies, calm our minds, and enhance overall well-being. Embrace the warmth and the flow of life, and join us for our summer Yin QiGong classes to experience the harmony of this beautiful practice.
